The Doula
Hi I’m Liyah! I am a 25-year-old Certified Doula studying through International Doula Institute. I began this journey because women need tons of support when it comes to being a new mom or an already experienced mom. I know by experience how it feels from the moment you find out you're expecting to the moment you deliver your bundle of joy. Finding out you're bringing a baby into the world can release a number of emotions and a lot of times its due to not knowing what to expect. After doing my own research and asking questions I slowly started to feel confident in what was so beautifully created. Having a doula of my own made my experience a whole lot easier! It is nothing like having support even if it’s three people or one a little support goes a long way. I want to be there for you in anyway that you need me even if you have help already I will be your extra moral support. As well as physical support during labor, my role is also to act as an advocate for the birthing woman and her family.
I am certified as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and a Certified Lactation Specialist. serving Saginaw County, Bay County, Genesee County, ShiaAwassee County, Midland County, and Gratiot County
What Is a doula?
